WORKSHOP
Tuias is a small, one-woman ceramic workshop operating in Hyvinkää, Finland. There are many steps when making a product, starting from kneading the clay, to glazing and ending with firing. Each opening of the oven after the firing is an exciting moment. One cornerstone of the workshop is the pottery wheel built by both my husband and my father.

COMPANY
Tuias is a ceramic company, representing Finnish handicraft and design. All products are hand made, mostly wheel-thrown, but some are also hand built. Clay is earthenware, when fired at a high temperature the products become durable. All products are microwave, oven and dishwasher friendly.
In Summer 2018, Tuias received a Key Flag certification, to recognize that the product has been manufactured and produced in Finland.
Production has moved to Kytäjä (located in Hyvinkää) in June 2019. The new workshop is bigger and creates opportunities for ceramic courses.
